Cookie policy.
How we use cookies on this website and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Your browser’s “local storage” works in a similar way. Both are covered by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and we ask your permission before using anything that the website does not need in order to work.
What we use
We keep this to a minimum. Without your permission we store only your cookie choice and, if you close it, the patient reviews box. If you choose “Accept”, we also use Google Analytics cookies to see which pages are visited and how people use the site, so we can improve it. Google Analytics uses an identifier unique to your browser; we do not use it to find out who you are.
The table below lists everything this website stores on your device.
| Description | Type of cookie | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| hhcc_cookie_consent: remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Kept in your browser’s local storage rather than as a cookie. | Strictly necessary | Until you change your choice or clear your browser data |
| hhcc_reviews_dismissed: remembers that you closed the patient reviews box. Kept in your browser’s local storage. | Functionality | Until you clear your browser data |
| _ga: Google Analytics, used to distinguish visitors. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. | Performance | 2 years |
| _ga_BRJGDMY997: Google Analytics, used to keep track of your visit. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. | Performance | 2 years |
Booking, maps and other outside services
Our online booking calendars are provided by Semble, which uses Stripe for payments, and the map on our contact page comes from Google Maps. These services load from their own websites and may set their own cookies under their own policies, which we do not control.
Your choice about analytics cookies
On your first visit we ask whether you are happy for us to use Google Analytics cookies. We only set them if you choose “Accept”. If you choose “Reject”, or make no choice, they are not set. You can change your mind at any time.
How to turn off Cookies
You can also turn off or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, although some parts of some websites may then not work as expected.
